Cricketer Dipendra Singh Airee Resigns from Nepal Police Service

Kathmandu — Renowned cricketer Dipendra Singh Airee, who served as an assistant havildar in the Nepal Police, has officially resigned from the police force.

Airee rose to prominence after hitting six sixes in a single over during the T20 cricket event at the 19th Asian Games, setting a world record. Following this achievement, he was promoted from police constable to assistant havildar. He initially joined the Nepal Police as a constable in 2016 (2073 BS).

As captain of the Nepal Police Club in domestic cricket, Airee has been a key figure in the team. Citing personal reasons related to domestic matters, he submitted his resignation, which has already been approved by the police administration.

With his resignation, Airee plans to focus more on his cricketing career and personal life. He expressed gratitude for his time in the police force and wished for continued success in his future endeavors.
