Kathmandu, Nepal played it in style as it for 'the first time in history' beat India 1-0 in a match under the sixth edition of the Women's SAFF Championship 2022, booking a place in finals. The match was organised at Dasharath Stadium, Tripureshwor, on Friday.

For Nepal, Rashmi Kumari Ghising scored a goal during the injury time in first half, which later turned to be a winning goal. Coach of the Nepali team is Anjila Tumbappo Subba. Nepal is facing Bangladesh in finals on Monday.

Bangladesh made it to finals by defeating Bhutan 8-0 in a match on Friday itself.
