Afghanistan U-17 qualified for the round of 16 in Asia Cup

Kathmandu, Afghanistan’s national youth football team lost against Tajikistan in their second match in the U-17 Asian Football Cup qualifiers, but despite this defeat, they advanced to the next stage of the competition.

The national youth football team of Afghanistan played against the national football team of Tajikistan on Sunday evening, and by 2 goals in final 90 minutes.

The match was held at the Pamir Stadium in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.

It is worth mentioning that the national youth team of Afghanistan won their game against Mongolia and accepted a defeat against Tajikistan, the host of this competition, as one of the top teams in the preliminary stage from Group H to the U17 Asian Nations Cup.

After Bahrain withdraws from hosting the AFC, AFC will choose another country to host this competition.

This tournament will be held from May 3 to 20, 2023, in which Afghan teenagers will participate for the first time.
