ANFA preparing for SAFF U-19
Kathmandu, The fifth edition of the SAFF U-19 Football Championship is scheduled to be held at Dasharath Stadium from September 21 to 30. All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has started preparations for the championship.
"We are preparing to win the title. We are also aiming to make the SAFF project a great success in terms of management," ANFA spokesperson Suresh Shah said at a press conference on Monday.
ANFA's tournament coordinator Sanjib Mishra claimed that Nepal's performance in the age group was good every time. "Nepal has a claim to the title in all types of saff tournaments. Nepal's goal is to become champions. We have already won the previous two editions," Mishra said.
The ANFA has trained 35 players for the championship after selecting them from the district and province to the central level.
Nepal, Maldives, Pakistan, India, Bhutan and Bangladesh are participating in the championship.
