APF FC Suffers 4-0 Defeat Against College of Asian Scholars in AFC Women’s Champions League

KATHMANDU, August 28, 2025: Nepal's APF FC experienced a significant setback in the AFC Women’s Champions League 2025/26 Preliminary Stage, losing 4-0 to Thailand's College of Asian Scholars in their Group B match today in Uzbekistan. This defeat further complicates APF's chances of advancing to the main group stage.

The match, played on August 28, 2025, according to Flashscore.com, saw APF struggle to contain the Thai side, who had previously defeated Saudi Arabia's Al Nassr 2-0 in their opening match. This follows APF's initial 3-0 loss to hosts PFC Nasaf in their opening fixture.
According to the tournament rules, only the five group winners and the best-ranked runner-up from the preliminary stage will progress to the group stage. APF FC, representing Nepal, is now at the bottom of Group B with two losses and will need a strong performance in their final match to keep any faint hopes of progressing alive.
