Army defeated Madhesh Province in the Prime Minister's Cup Cricket

Kathmandu, Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Madhes Province by a huge margin of 126 runs in the Prime Minister's Cup One-Day National Cricket Tournament. Chasing a target of 321 runs for victory, Madhes Province lost all wickets in 48.4 overs and ended up with 194 runs.

For the Madhes, Pawan Saraf scored 65 runs off 83 balls with seven fours and three sixes. Similarly, Mayan Yadav scored 32 in 32 balls with six fours. Rajesh Yadav remained unbeaten on 32 runs off 48 balls with five fours, while Rupesh Singh scored 18 runs, Bishal Patel scored 17 runs, and Harishankar Shah scored four runs.

For the Army, Sahab Alam took four wickets, Sompal Kami took two wickets, and Jitendra Mukhia and Kushal Malla took one wicket each.

Before that, the Army, who lost the toss and were invited to bat first at the cricket ground of Tribhuvan University in Kirtipur, made a total of 320 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the scheduled 50 overs.

Binod Bhandari scored 113 runs off 93 balls with nine fours and six sixes for the Army. Likewise, Santosh Karki scored 42, Kushal Malla and Vivek Yadav scored 37, Imran Sheikh scored 26, Bhim Sarki scored 18, and Basir Ahmed scored 16.

Binod and Kushal shared 132 runs for the fifth wicket for the Army, and Santosh and Imran shared 53 runs for the first wicket.

Ranjit Kumar took five wickets for Madhes, Bishal Patel took two wickets, and Rajesh Yadav and Rupesh Singh took one wicket each.
