Badminton Asia Regional Junior Championships : Dilasa and Rihanna enter final
Kathmandu, Dilasa Rana and Rihanna Sherchan advanced to the finals of the Badminton Asia (South Asia) Regional Junior Championship.
Rana and Sherchan defeated Bangladesh's Afifa Khan Arin and Tanzila Mahmud 21-15, 16-21, 21-9 in the U-15 championship.
In the U-15 category, Tisa Ranni Shakya and Samriddhi Shrestha lost 8-21, 7-21 to Sri Lanka's Sithuli Ransinghe and Nethmy Ratnayake. In the men's section, Sudesh Rajkoti and Shishir Rana lost 9-21, 12-21 to Bangladesh's Mostaki Hossain and Wali Ullah.
In women's U-15 singles, Tisha Rani Shakya lost 4-21, 14-21 to Sri Lanka's Nethmy Ratnayake. Similarly, Dilasha Rana lost 15-21, 15-21 to Sri Lanka's Suthuli Ransinghe. Subin Shrestha lost 15-21, 21-14, 18-21 to Wali Ullah of Bangladesh.
