Bagmati CM promises to advance sports and education
Kathmandu, The Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Shalikram Jamkattel, has said the province government accords priority to the education and sports sectors.
In his address to a program organized by the District Sports Development Committee, Kavrepalanchowk, in Banepa on Friday, the Chief Minister described sports and players as the pride of the nation, pledging to promote these sectors simultaneously.
He also vowed to consider increasing the budget for the sports ministry in the upcoming fiscal year. "Our special priority will be for the ministry to promote the sports sector."
Also speaking at the program, Minister for Labour, Employment, and Transport, Laxman Lamsal, called for establishing a district-level stadium and a ward-level sports ground to promote sports.
