Bikesh Ghimire and Ranju Shah Win Kathmandu Ward 4 Open Run Titles
Kathmandu, June 28 – Bikesh Ghimire and Ranju Shah clinched first place in the 5 km open category of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 4 running competition, held on Saturday in Baluwatar.
Men’s 5 km Open Results:

🥈 Abhinash Rai – 21 minutes 36 seconds
🥉 Amrit Gurung – 22 minutes 11 seconds
Women’s 5 km Open Results:

🥈 Anushree Pradhananga – 36 minutes 23 seconds
🥉 Manju Thapa – 39 minutes 35 seconds

According to Ward Chairperson Dinesh Maharjan, the race—now in its third edition—attracted over 300 participants. He emphasized that the event was organized to promote health and community engagement.
“We launched this run to promote fitness among our residents. Each year, the event is growing stronger, and next year, we plan to turn it into a grand celebration.”
Winners were awarded cash prizes, medals, and certificates during the closing ceremony, which was attended by local representatives and community leaders.
