Dipendra Singh Airee Signs with Islamabad United for PSL Season 11
Kathmandu, Magh 29 – Nepal national cricket team vice-captain and all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee has been signed by Islamabad United for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He was picked for 6 million Pakistani Rupees (approximately NPR 3.1 million).
Islamabad United secured Airee during the PSL auction held on Wednesday night, placing a successful bid to bring the Nepali star into their squad.
The PSL, one of the most competitive franchise T20 leagues in the world, features eight teams battling for the title. Airee’s inclusion is seen as a major milestone for Nepali cricket, as he will now have the opportunity to compete alongside and against some of the top international cricketers.
With this signing, Airee becomes only the second Nepali cricketer to feature in the PSL. Previously, Sandeep Lamichhane represented Lahore Qalandars in the 2019 edition of the tournament.
Airee’s participation is expected to further boost Nepal’s growing presence in global franchise cricket.
