Dutch Volleyball Star Romy Veenstra Joins Madhesh United for EWVL Season 2
Kathmandu, Madhesh United has signed Dutch volleyball player Romy Veenstra for the second edition of the Vatsalya Everest Women’s Volleyball League (EWVL). Veenstra becomes the club’s first foreign player ahead of the upcoming season.
Romy Veenstra is part of the emerging generation of talented female volleyball players from the Netherlands. Known for her powerful gameplay and strong commitment, she has achieved significant success at a young age. Standing at 188 cm, Veenstra plays as an outside hitter.
Since the 2021/22 season, she has been a key player for Sudosa-Desto, a top-division club in the Netherlands, consistently delivering standout performances. Her reliability in both offensive and defensive roles makes her a valuable asset to any team. In 2024, she led her team to victory in the Dutch Youth National Championship.
With this signing, Madhesh United aims to strengthen its squad and make a strong impact in this year's EWVL campaign.
