Former captain Khadka is chosen to lead the Bagmati Province Cricket Association

Kathmandu, Paras Khadka, a former captain of the Nepali national cricket team, has been chosen to lead the Bagmati Province Cricket Association.

A 13-member new working committee headed by Khadka was chosen at the association's second convention and general assembly, which was convened on Friday. Khadka won the race by outvoting Umesh Piya by a margin of nine runs. 23 people voted for him.

Khadka serves as a working committee member for the Chitwan District Cricket Association and the Kathmandu District Cricket Association, respectively.

In a similar vein, the Bagmati Province Cricket Association has elected Prem Bahadur Chhetri to the position of Vice-Chairperson, Prashanna Shakya to the position of Secretary, and Sanjay Basnet to the position of Treasurer.

The other members are Ajaybir Pandey, Anil Adhikary, Sanjog Shrestha, Sujan Maharjan, Dhiraj Shrestha, Shekhar Shrestha, and Basanta Raj Satyal. Nira Rajopadhayay was elected as a female member without opposition.
