Golden Gate SEE Cup Chess will be held this week
Kathmandu, The Golden Gate SEE Cup Chess 2024, organised by the Himalayan Chess Academy, will be held this week. A total of 100 students participated in the competition.
Himalayan Chess Academy president Monalisa Khambu informed us that the tournament will be held from September 8 to 11 at the Golden Gate International College building. According to him, the competition will be conducted in two categories: open and student.
The Himalayan Chess Academy, which has been in operation since last February, is now training more than 50 children between the ages of five and 13 in chess. Academy President Khambu said, "This is the first competition organised by the Academy; the first winner of the competition will get 10,000, the second winner will get 5,000, and the third winner will get 3,000.
