Help Nepal, Police are the National Club League champions

Kathmandu, The winners of the 7th PM Cup NVA National Club League held in Kathmandu on Saturday were Nepal Police Club and Tiptop Help Nepal.

At NSC Covered Hall, Nepal Police Club defeated Nepal APF Club 3-1 to win the women's league championship.

Police, who won the league round to go to the final, won the opening set 25-12 but fell to APF in the second set 21-25. By winning two sets in a row by scores of 25-23 and 25-19, the Police team earned a title of Rs. 600,000.

Runners-up With a financial prize of Rs. 300,000, APF was content. Tribhuvan Army Club and New Diamond Youth Sports Club finished the competition in third and fourth place, respectively. Poonam Chand of the Police was named the competition's top female player and received Rs. 35,000.

Shanti Kala Tamang (Libero), Kamala Pun (Setter), and Usha Bhandari (Spiker) of the Police Club were recognised as the top candidates in their respective categories. As the Police won the women's league championship, Sumitra Regmi was chosen best Emerging Player, while Rupesh Bista was voted best coach. Sangam Mahato of the Army and Saraswoti Chaudhary of the APF were chosen best server and best blocker, respectively.

Similar to that, Tiptop Help Nepal Sports Club defeated Nepal Police 3-1 to win the men's championship and remain undefeated in the league.

Help Nepal won the opening set 25-19, but comfortably lost the following set to Police 11-25. Help Nepal improved after dropping the second set to win the third and fourth sets with identical scores of 25-18.

Help Nepal received a monetary prize of Rs. 600,000 for winning the championship. Police, who came in second, received Rs. 300,000.

In the men's league, Army and APF held the third and fourth spots, respectively.

Aimal Khan, a Help Nepal employee from Pakistan, won the men's division's best player award, which is worth Rs. 35,000.

Top Bahadur Thapa (Libero), Adnan Khan (Setter), Majhar Ali (Spiker), and Utsab Khadka (Coach) of the winning team were chosen as the top performers in their respective categories.

Hemanta Malla of the APF and Durga Bahadur Khadka of the Army were recognised as the top servers and blockers. Police's Rabin Chand was named the competition's up-and-coming player.
