KIGALI, RWANDA – The Nepal women’s national cricket team secured a hard-fought victory against hosts Rwanda in the ongoing ICC Women’s T20 Challenge. In a low-scoring but tense encounter at the Gahanga International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, Nepal chased down the target in the final over to claim two crucial points.

Samjhana Khadka Leads the Chase

Chasing a modest target of 89 runs, Nepal reached 89/8 in 19.4 overs. The chase proved more difficult than expected as wickets fell at regular intervals. However, Samjhana Khadka played a match-winning knock, top-scoring with a vital 48 runs. She was supported by Puja Mahato (13) and Bindu Rawal (10), ensuring Nepal crossed the finish line with just two balls to spare.
