India A will be led by Yash Dhull at the 2023 Asia Cup

Kathmandu, The captain of the India Under-19 World Cup-winning team, Yash Dhull, has been selected to lead the India A side. Dhull has so far displayed a lot of promise in his career. He made his first-class cricket debut for the Delhi Cricket Team during the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy.

The India A team has recently been revealed by the Junior Cricket Committee for the forthcoming Asian Cricket Council Men's Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023. Eight Asian countries will compete in this tournament, which will take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from July 13 to July 23, using a 50-over format.

The team also features talented players like Rajvardhan Hangargekar in addition to Dhull. A youthful all-rounder named Hangargekar played for the IPL 2023 champion Chennai Super Kings. Akash Singh, a left-arm bowler who also competed for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2023, has also been chosen.

Prabhsimran Singh and Dhruv Jurel, the team's two wicketkeepers, both excel at their positions behind the stumps.

Along with Nepal, UAE A, and Pakistan A, Group B for the tournament has been assigned to India A. Sri Lanka A, Bangladesh A, Afghanistan A, and Oman A make up Group A. In each group, the top two teams will proceed to the semi-finals.

The winner of Group A will face the second-place team from Group B in the first semi-final, which is set for July 21. The top-seeded team from Group B will compete against the runner-up from Group A in the second semi-final. The Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 winner will be decided in the much awaited final on July 23.
