India wins the SAFF Championship
Kathmandu, India has clinched the U-19 men's SAFF Championship football tournament title.
In a final match held at the Tripureswor-based Dasharath Stadium today, India thrashed Pakistan 3-0.
With this, India has made a hat trick in the U-19 championship title. Earlier, India had clinched the title in the 2019 and 2022 championships.
Indian striker Manglenthang Kipgen netted twice, and Gogmasir Goyara made a goal to establish the win.
Kipgen scored goals in the 64th and 85th minutes, while Goyara made a head goal in the additional time of the second half.
