Indian Cricketer Priyank Panchal Joins Karnali Yaks for NPL Season 2
Kathmandu, November 13. Indian cricketer Priyank Kirit Panchal has been signed by Karnali Yaks Sports Pvt. Ltd. for the second season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
The 35-year-old opening batsman becomes the fourth overseas player to join the Karnali Yaks squad. Earlier, the franchise renewed its contract with Australian cricketer William Bosisto.
Karnali Yaks have also already signed Mark Watt from Scotland and Max O’Dowd from the Netherlands.
Panchal, who represents Gujarat in the Ranji Trophy, has been a consistent performer in India’s domestic circuit. He has scored 1,522 runs in 59 T20 matches, including nine half-centuries.
He last represented India in the Hong Kong Super Sixes tournament, showcasing his experience in the shorter format.
The team’s head coach is former Nepal captain Gyanendra Malla, while Sompal Kami serves as the franchise’s marquee player.
The Nepal Premier League (NPL), featuring eight teams, is scheduled to take place from November 16 to December 12 (Mangsir 1–27).
