Kathmandu, In the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati Friday night, Punjab Kings defeated Rajasthan Royals by a margin of five runs in IPL cricket. Rajasthan Royals needed to score 198 runs to win, but instead only managed to score 193/7 in the allotted 20 overs.

Rajasthan Royals earlier chose to field after winning the toss. In their opening innings, Punjab scored a staggering 197 for 4, with Shikhar Dhawan scoring 86 and Prabhsimran Singh scoring 62. Jason Holder took two wickets for the Rajasthan Royals, while Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal each took one wicket.
