Jhapa wins their first game in the NSL

Kathmandu, Jhapa Football Club has recorded its first victory in the Nepal Super League (NSL) football tournament underway in the federal capital.

In the match held today at Dasharath Stadium, Tripureswar, Jhapa defeated Butwal Lumbini Football Club by 1-0, thanks to a goal by Jarbez Sanchez. He scored in the 39th minute of the first half with the help of an assist from his captain, Anjan Bista.

It took five matches for Jhapa to register its maiden win. So far, Jhapa has lost one game and drawn three to add five points to the table. With the win, Jhapa climbs to the sixth position.

Despite the loss today, Butwal Lumbini, who has played six matches in the NSL and collected seven points, stands in the 5th position.
