Kabir and Abhay's team made it to the championship round
Kathmandu, Under the ongoing Badminton Asia (South Asia) Regional Junior Championship 2023 held in the kathmandu, Kabir KC and Abhay Mahara reached the finals in U-17 category.
Kabir Abhay's pair entered the final by defeating Azhar Mohammad Ayuv and Yusuf Munadhi Mathlub of Maldives in straight sets 21-9, 21-7 in the match held monday at the badminton court of the Armed Police Force in Halchok.
Similarly, in the U-15 side, the duo of Saurya Maharjan and Suvin Shrestha lost to Sri Lanka's Kenneth Arugoda and Senuth Sethamitha Perera. The pair of Maharjan and Shrestha lost to the Sri Lankan pair by 13-21, 11-21.
The pair of Dilasa Rana and Rihana Sherchan has entered the finals in the tournament organized by Badminton Asia and co-organised by Nepal Badminton Association. The duo of Rana and Sherchan entered the U-15 final by defeating the duo of Afifa Khan Arin and Tanjila Mahmud of Bangladesh by 21-15, 16-21, 21-9.
