Kathmandu Gorkhas Set 143-Run Target for Chitwan Rhinos in NPL Clash
Kathmandu—Kathmandu Gorkhas have set a target of 143 runs for Chitwan Rhinos in the opening match of Friday’s fixture of the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
In the match held at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, they were invited to bat first after losing the toss. The Gorkhas managed to post 142 runs before being bowled out in 19.4 overs.
Chitwan’s Kamal Singh Airee claimed the final wicket to wrap up Kathmandu’s innings.
Both teams are level on four points, with Kathmandu having played four matches and Chitwan three. On the points table, Chitwan currently sits in third place, while Kathmandu is positioned fourth.
Kushal Malla is leading the Chitwan Rhinos this season, whereas Karan KC is captaining the Kathmandu Gorkhas.
