Kathmandu, June 27:
King’s College emerged victorious in the Hisense Nepal 1st Sayam Inter-College Seven-A-Side Futsal Tournament, defeating Techspire College 2–1 in a thrilling final match held in Kathmandu.
The tournament, which concluded today, saw participation from 28 student teams representing various bachelor-level semester colleges. The competition was played in a league-cum-knockout format, making it a highly competitive and action-packed event.
In the semifinals, Techspire College edged out Global College in a penalty shootout (4–3), while King’s College secured a dominant 3–0 win against NCMT College.
In the third-place match, Global College defeated NCMT College 1–0, claiming the third position.

The tournament was sponsored by Hisense Nepal and organized by Sayam Sports. Organizers expressed their intention to make the event an annual fixture, aiming to further promote inter-college sports culture in Nepal.
The event highlighted rising football talent at the collegiate level and was celebrated for its high level of organization, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit.
