Madhesh and Karnali Claim Wins in Prime Minister One-Day Cricket Cup
Kathmandu – In the Prime Minister One-Day National Cricket Tournament on Wednesday, Madhesh Province and Karnali Province registered impressive wins.
At the Narayani Stadium in Birgunj, Madhesh defeated Sudurpashchim Province by five wickets. Batting first, Sudurpashchim scored 160 runs in 43.2 overs. Madhesh chased the target in 33.4 overs, losing five wickets.
Meanwhile, in Janakpur, Karnali Province beat Koshi Province by 16 runs. Karnali posted 151 runs in their allotted overs, and Koshi managed 135 runs, losing all wickets in 44.4 overs.
The tournament features 10 teams, including three departmental teams – Nepal Police, Tribhuvan Army, and Nepal APF Club – along with seven provincial sides. The winning team will receive NRs 1 million, while the runner-up will earn NRs 500,000.
