Manaslu and Warriors Clinch Titles at SDBSC SEE 3x3 Basketball Tournament
Kathmandu, June 24 – Manaslu (boys) and Warriors (girls) emerged victorious at the SDBSC SEE 3x3 Basketball Tournament, securing the championship titles on Tuesday.
In the boys' final, held at the South Western State College (SDBSC) court in Basundhara, Manaslu edged past BMK with a narrow 18–17 win. In the girls' final, Warriors defeated Valley Public 13–12 in a closely contested match.
Both winning teams received a cash prize of NPR 15,000, while the runners-up took home NPR 10,000. In addition, players from the champion teams and the Most Valuable Players (MVPs) were awarded 50% scholarships. The runner-up teams received 40% scholarships, and all participating players were granted 20% scholarships.
This marks the second title in three days for both Manaslu and Warriors, who also won the 1st LNA SEE Cup 3x3 Basketball Tournament on Sunday.
Shubham Saiju from Manaslu (boys) and Dibyansha Karki from Warriors (girls) were named the Most Valuable Players of the tournament.
Winners were awarded by SDBSC Campus Chief Dr. Rajendra KC, Vice Principal Hari Singh KC, Program Coordinator Rajendra Lamichhane, Program Director Ganesh Mahara, and International Relations Coordinator Sarita Shakya.
The two-day event featured 32 boys’ teams and 18 girls’ teams competing in a league-cum-knockout format.
