Mohammad Amir discusses his future in the IPL after obtaining British citizenship

Kathmandu, Mohammad Amir, a former Pakistani pacer, will be granted a British passport in 2024 as a result of his marriage to Narjis Khan, a British national and attorney.

The 31-year-old discussed his cricket career ambitions, including the possibility of participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL), with his prospective British passport, in an interview with a local media news channel on Sunday.

He made it obvious, though, that he had no desire to play for England because, having already represented Pakistan in cricket, he was more devoted to that nation.

The former bowler cautiously stressed the value of proceeding slowly when questioned about the IPL.

I will not play for England, first of all. I've competed for Pakistan. Second, there is still one year left in the IPL. What will the situation be at that point? I often say that I take things slowly. We have no idea what will occur tomorrow, and I'm already considering participating in the IPL in 2024," he remarked.

When I obtain my passport, "I'll take advantage of whatever the best opportunity is and what I get," he continued.

It is important to note that Azhar Mahmood, a UK citizen, is the only Pakistani player to have participated in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Looks like Mohammad Amir will want to emulate him after obtaining British citizenship.
