Nepal’s 18-Member Squad Set to Depart for 2nd Women’s Kabaddi World Cup in Bangladesh

Kathmandu, Nepal is set to participate in the 2nd Women’s Kabaddi World Cup, with an 18-member delegation, including 14 players, departing for Dhaka, Bangladesh, this Saturday.

The tournament, scheduled to take place from November 17 to 25, will feature 12 participating nations, according to Arbind Kumar Jha, General Secretary of the All Nepal Kabaddi Association.

Players Selected for the Tournament

The national squad includes:
Manmati Bista, Jayanti Badu, Menuka Kumari Rajbanshi, Raveena Chaudhary, Mina Nepali, Ganga Ghimire, Aashika Kunwar, Srijana Kumari Tharu, Sirjana Dhanuk, Manisha Joshi, Urusa Shakya, Asma Yadav, Binita Pandit Kshetri, and Sanju Thami.

Farewell Program Held

A formal farewell event was organized on Friday, where National Sports Council (NSC) Member-Secretary Tanka Lal Ghising, NSC member Anjana Shrestha, and other officials extended their best wishes to the team for a successful campaign.
