Nepal advances to the second round of the World Cup qualifying
Kathmandu, The Nepali football team has entered the second round of the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier by defeating Laos.
Nepal beat Laos 1-0 in a recently held match at the national stadium of Laos.
Manish Dangi made a decisive goal to put Nepal to victory. The goal he made in the 53rd second of the match was decisive. Manish netted the goal with an assist from Anjan Bista.
Nepal and Laos played a 1-1 draw in the first round held in Nepal. With this, Nepal would compete with the UAE, Bahrain, and Yemen in Group 'H' in the second round of the World Cup.
