Nepal Announces Women’s Football Squad for Friendlies Against Iran and India
Kathmandu, October 19 — The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has announced a 23-member women’s football squad to play friendly matches against Iran on November 7 and India on November 10 in Shillong.
Savitri Bhandari ‘Samba’ will captain the team, which also features U-20 national players Purnima Rai and Meena Dewal. Head coach Navin Nyaupane finalized the squad based on the players’ performances during training sessions.

Savitri Bhandari (Captain), Anita Basnet, Anjana Rana Magar, Anjila Tumbapo Subba, Bimala Bik, Deepa Shahi, Hirakumari Bhujel, Manmaya Damai, Meena Dewal, Nisha Thokar, Preeti Rai, Pratiksha Chaudhary, Pooja Rana, Purnima Rai, Rashmikumari Ghising, Rekha Paudel, Renuka Nagarkote, Sabita Ranamagar, Sajani Thokar, Samiksha Ghimire, Saraswati Hamal, Saru Limbu, and Usha Nath.
The squad is expected to gain valuable international experience and prepare for upcoming competitions through these friendly matches.
