Nepal defeats Pakistan in international friendly

Kathmandu, Nepal has defeated Pakistan in an international friendly football match held today. Nepal defeated the visitors Pakistan 1-0 in today's match played under floodlights at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar this evening.

Nepali striker Anjan Bista scored the only goal of the match in the 82nd minute of the game. The goal that proved to be decisive goal for Nepal was scored in the assist provided by Sunil Bal.

Pakistan came to Nepal to play its first international match since a suspension by the world football governing body, FIFA was lifted.

Nepal last played against Pakistan in 2018 SAFF Championship held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where Nepal had lost to Pakistan by 1-2.

Today's match was the 50th international match played by Nepal at Dasharath Stadium. Nepal played its first international match at stadium under the first South Asian Games held in Dashrath Stadium in 1984.
