Nepal Drawn in Group ‘G’ for AFC U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers

Kathmandu – Nepal has been drawn in Group ‘G’ of the AFC U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers, according to the groupings announced by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on Thursday.

Group G features five teams: Nepal, two-time champions Oman, Myanmar, Syria, and Afghanistan. The matches in this group will be hosted in Myanmar.

Nepal has previously participated in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup three times — in 2000, 2006, and 2014 — but is yet to progress beyond the group stage.

The 2025 edition of the qualifiers features 38 participating nations, divided into seven groupsthree groups consist of six teams, while the remaining four groups include five teams each.

Nepal will be looking to make a strong impact this time and advance to the final tournament, breaking its long-standing record in the competition.
