Nepal Drawn in Group ‘G’ for AFC U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers
Kathmandu – Nepal has been drawn in Group ‘G’ of the AFC U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers, according to the groupings announced by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on Thursday.
Group G features five teams: Nepal, two-time champions Oman, Myanmar, Syria, and Afghanistan. The matches in this group will be hosted in Myanmar.
Nepal has previously participated in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup three times — in 2000, 2006, and 2014 — but is yet to progress beyond the group stage.
The 2025 edition of the qualifiers features 38 participating nations, divided into seven groups — three groups consist of six teams, while the remaining four groups include five teams each.
Nepal will be looking to make a strong impact this time and advance to the final tournament, breaking its long-standing record in the competition.
