Nepal Exits in Pre-Quarterfinals of 29th Asian Youth Table Tennis Championship
Kathmandu, June 28— Nepal’s journey in the U-19 Boys’ Team Event of the ongoing 29th Asian Youth Table Tennis Championship came to an end after a 3–0 loss to Malaysia in the pre-quarterfinals.
The championship is currently being held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Prior to this, Nepal had registered a convincing 3–1 victory over Saudi Arabia, which secured their spot in the pre-quarterfinal round. However, they couldn’t maintain the momentum against a strong Malaysian side.
With this result, Nepal has been knocked out of the team event of the prestigious continental tournament.
Nepal is expected to gain valuable experience from the competition and hopes to perform better in future international events. The championship continues with other categories over the coming days.
