Nepal Karate Team Departs for Thailand Open Championship
Kathmandu, June 24 – A Nepali karate team is set to depart for Thailand on Wednesday to participate in the Thailand Open Karate Championship. The tournament will be held from June 27 to 29 (Ashar 13–15) and will feature 10 Nepali athletes competing in various categories.
The team also includes two coaches and five referees, who will accompany the players for the international competition.
The team was officially bid farewell during a special program on Tuesday. The event was attended by Anita Lama, Deputy Mayor of Budhanilkantha Municipality; Suman Tamang, Ward Chair of Budhanilkantha-8; and Prem Lal Bamjan, Secretary of the Nepal Shito-Ryu Karate Association, who extended their best wishes to the team.
The championship offers an opportunity for Nepali athletes and officials to gain valuable international exposure and showcase their skills on a global stage.
