Nepal takes on Bahrain in a World Cup football qualifier

Kathmandu, In today's fourth encounter in the second phase of the FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, Nepal takes on Bahrain. The game is scheduled to begin tonight at 12:45 a.m. Nepal time at Bahrain's National Stadium.

Nepal must win this game in order to maintain their hopes of making it to the World Cup. If Nepal lost today's match, it would be eliminated from both the Asia Qualifier and the World Cup.

Nepal had advanced to the second round of the qualifying tournament after overcoming Laos in the opening round. In a similar vein, it has failed to win any games during the second phase. In all three of the second-phase matches, it was defeated. 

Nepal lost 4-0 to the United Arab Emirates in the first game played there, 2-0 to Yemen in the second game played at home, and 5-0 to Bahrain in the third game played there.

In phase two, Nepal is in group 'H'. Likewise, the UAE, Yemen, and Bahrain are included in the same group. UAE leads with nine points after winning three of their last three games, followed by Bahrain in second place with six points.

Nepal has lost all three games and has no points, while Yemen is in third place with three points.

The Nepali team's goalkeepers are Kiran Chemjong, Bishal Sunar, and Abhishek Rai; its defenders are Abhishekh Limbu, Ananta Tamang, Tshering Lama, Ajay Chaudhary, Shanis Shrestha, Saubhagya Rai, and Sumit Shrestha.

Anjan Bista, Dinesh Henjan, Samir Tamang, Sanjeev Bista, Hisub Thapaliya, and Gillespie Jung Karki are the strikers, while Bharat Khawas, Bishal Basnet, Loken Limbu, Mani Kumar Lama, Manish Dangi, Rohan Karki, and Utsav Rai play in the midfield.
