Kathmandu, June 23:
The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) organized a special farewell ceremony today for the Nepal Women’s National Football Team, which is set to depart for Uzbekistan to compete in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers.
The event was graced by Dr. Hari Prasad Lamichhane, Secretary at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as the chief guest. Also present were ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang, Vice President Dawa Lama, Acting General Secretary Damodar Bhattarai, central committee members Sarila Shrestha and Tika Lama, and CEO Indraman Tuladhar, among others.
During the ceremony, officials extended their best wishes to the team, praising the players' dedication, discipline, and preparations. They expressed confidence that Nepal will put on a strong performance and make the nation proud on the international stage.
Nepal will face tough opponents in the qualifiers as they aim to secure a spot in the prestigious AFC Women’s Asian Cup. The team heads to Uzbekistan with high morale and determination to succeed.
