Kathmandu, November 10 – The Nepal women’s national cricket team is set to tour India for a series of practice matches as part of their preparation for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers.
According to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the team will play six practice matches from November 13 to 19 during the training tour.
Nepal will face Rajasthan on November 13 and 17, Uttarakhand on November 14 and 18, and Bengal on November 15 and 19. All matches will be held at the Ayush Cricket Academy in Chidrawala, Uttarakhand.
CAN has announced a 14-member squad for the India tour, led by captain Indu Barma. The squad features a blend of experience and youth aimed at fine-tuning the team’s performance ahead of the global qualifiers.
The 14-member team includes captain Indu Barma, Rubina Chhetri, Sita Rana Magar, Pooja Mahato, Kavita Kunwar, Asmita Karmacharya, Ishwori Bista, Sana Prabin, Roma Thapa, Manisha Upadhyay, Simana KC, Mamta Chaudhary, Bindu Rawal, and Laxmi Saud.
CAN stated that the India tour will be a key opportunity for the players to gain match experience and build team coordination before the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier campaign begins.
