Nepali Batter Kushal Bhurtel Smashes 6 Sixes in an Over, Scripting Cricket History
KATHMANDU – Nepali national cricket team’s opening batter, Kushal Bhurtel, has etched his name into the history books by smashing six sixes in a single over during Nepal's match against China in the Asian Games qualifiers.
Bhurtel achieved this extraordinary feat in the ninth over of the innings, dispatching six consecutive balls over the boundary. With this explosive performance, he has become only the second Nepali player to achieve this milestone. Furthermore, he joins an elite global club as the sixth player in international cricket history to hit six sixes in an over.
Joining the Elite Club
Bhurtel follows in the footsteps of fellow Nepali all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee, who previously set the record by hitting six sixes in the 20th over against Qatar during the 2023 ACC Premier Cup.

Displaying a masterclass in aggressive batting, Bhurtel remains unbeaten at the crease, hammering a sensational 129 runs off just 42 balls at the time of reporting.
