Kathmandu, The Netherlands has advanced to the ODI World Cup in India in 2023, becoming the tenth side to do so.

They defeated Scotland in a World Cup qualifying game to advance to the major league. Scotland scored 277/9 in 50 overs when batting first.

For Netherlands to surpass Scotland's run rate and advance to the World Cup, the target had to be chased down in 44 overs. Bas de Leede's 92-ball 123 helped them do this in 42.5 overs.

Sri Lanka has already secured their spot, while the World Cup Qualifying hosts Zimbabwe lost a significant opportunity on Tuesday when they were defeated by Scotland.
