Pattrathip Santrakoon Rejoins Lalitpur Queens for Everest Women's Volleyball League 2025
Kathmandu — Thai volleyball star Patrathip Santrakul has re-signed with Lalitpur Queens for the upcoming second edition of the Everest Women’s Volleyball League, scheduled to be held from September 5 to 13, 2025 (Bhadra 20–28).
Santrakul was instrumental in guiding Lalitpur Queens to the finals in the previous season, and her return has sparked high hopes for the team to go one step further and claim the title this time.
“Last year, we came so close to winning the championship but fell short. That pain still feels fresh,” said Santrakul. “This season, we are determined to correct our past mistakes and fight for the title.”
Santrakul also reflected on her debut experience in Nepal and the immense support from local fans.
“My first visit to Nepal was unforgettable. The love and encouragement from the crowd were overwhelming,” she said. “When we couldn’t win the title, I felt like we let the fans down. This year, we want to do justice to their support.”
She also extended her gratitude towards the Lalitpur Queens management for trusting her once again.
“I’m very thankful to the Lalitpur Queens family for believing in me and inviting me back to Nepal. I’m excited to be a part of this team again.”
A Stronger Squad with Santrakul’s Return
Lalitpur Queens have expressed their excitement over Santrakul’s rejoining, noting that her presence significantly strengthens the squad.
“Despite her busy schedule, she accepted our invitation and agreed to represent us once again. We are grateful for her commitment, and her arrival has boosted the morale of the entire team,” the club said in an official statement.
The Everest Women’s Volleyball League is one of Nepal’s premier volleyball tournaments, featuring top clubs and international talents. With Santrakul on board, Lalitpur Queens aim to turn last year’s heartbreak into triumph.
