PM Cup Cricket : Madhesh triumphs over Sudurpaschim  

Kathmandu, In the Prime Minister's Cup Men's One-Day National Cricket Tournament match played today, Madhesh Province defeated Sudurpaschim Province by an 80-run margin.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat first in the match played at the TU Cricket Ground, Madhesh amassed 319 runs in the allotted 50 overs at a cost of 9 wickets. Madhesh's top scorer, Mayan Yadav, amassed 115 runs in 128 balls.

Similar to this, Anil Shah scored 69 runs in 70 balls, while Pawan Sarraf scored 70 runs in 63 balls. Harishankar Shah scored 14 runs, Avishek Tiwari scored 16, and Rupesh Singh scored 21.

Sher Malla took four wickets for Sudurpaschim, Bikash Agri took two, and Narayan Joshi and Gajendra Bohra each took one.

In 44.5 overs, Sudurpaschim, chasing a victory target of 320 runs, was all out for 239 runs. Naren Bhatt scored 121 runs off 122 balls for Sudurpaschim, followed by 26 runs from Narayan Joshi and 20 runs from Kiran Thagunna.

Rajesh Yadav, Pradeep Paswan, and Ranjit Kumar shared three wickets apiece for the Madhes; captain Harishankar Shah and Pawan Saraf shared one wicket apiece.

Madhes is currently ranked third in the points table, with eight points gained after their victory today. Similarly, with six points, Sudurpaschim is ranked fourth in the points table.
