PM Cup NVA Volleyball League: APF Suffer Double Defeat, New Diamond and Police Club Cruize to Victory

Kathmandu: In a surprising turn of events, both the men’s and women’s teams of the Armed Police Force (APF) faced defeat in their respective matches of the 10th Prime Minister Cup NVA Volleyball League.

APF Men Struggle Against Pakistani-Reinforced Rukuma West

In the men's category, Rukuma West Volleyball Training Center defeated APF in straight sets (3-0) on Friday at the Dasharath Rangasala covered hall. Strengthened by three Pakistani players, Rukuma West dominated APF with scores of 25-14, 25-21, and 25-15. This was APF's first loss of the tournament. The Rukuma West team also includes players from Gandaki Province.

APF Women Fall to Everest Volleyball Club

The APF women's team also faced disappointment, losing 3-1 to Everest Volleyball Club. Everest, boasting three Indian players, won with scores of 25-20, 16-25, 25-17, and 25-16. This was also APF's first defeat in the tournament, after their victory against Nepal Army on Thursday.

New Diamond and Police Club Secure Easy Victories

In another women's match, New Diamond defeated Sudurpaschim Province in straight sets (3-0) with a convincing scoreline. On the other hand, the Nepal Police Club registered a 3-1 victory against Koshi Province in the men's division with scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-20, and 25-22.
