Preparations Complete for Indo–Nepal T20 Championship Cricket
Kathmandu: Preparations have been completed for the Indo–Nepal T20 Championship Cricket, organized by the Chitwan District Cricket Association. According to the organizers, the tournament will be held from Poush 4 to 13 at the Gautam Buddha Cricket Ground.
The competition will feature four teams from Nepal — Nepal Police Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, Armed Police Force (APF) Club, and Chitwan Cricket Club. Two teams from India will also participate: Kolkata Institute Club from Kolkata and Delhi Wanderers Club from Delhi. The organizers informed that the Indian teams will include players with experience in Ranji Trophy and the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The Indo–Nepal T20 Championship is expected to further strengthen sporting and cultural relations between Nepal and India.
To enhance spectator engagement, attractive prizes including cash rewards have been arranged for fans who take a one-handed catch outside the boundary during the matches. The organizers believe this initiative will make the tournament even more exciting for cricket lovers.
Vice President of the Chitwan District Cricket Association, Umesh Piya, stated that the prize money for the tournament winners will be announced soon.
All matches of the tournament will be broadcast live on Himalayan Premium HD and Makalu TV.
