President, PM congratulate Nepali cricket team

Kathmandu, President Bidya Devi Bhandari has congratulated the Nepali cricket team who entered the semi-finals in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup Cricket Qualifiers.

Nepal made it to semi-finals by defeating Canada in the qualifier being held in Oman today.

Taking to Twitter account this evening, President Bhandari congratulated the players, coaches and officials for the victory. “May the Nepali cricket team be able to meet the expectation of the cricket enthusiasts who want Nepal to play in the World Cup Cricket. Good luck in advance!”

In the last group match of the ICC T20 World Cup Cricket Qualifiers held at Cricket Academy Ground-1 at Muscat, Nepal won by 8 wickets, beating Canada.

Similarly, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba also congratulated the Nepali cricket team on the stunning victory in the ICC T20 World Cup Cricket Qualifiers.

PM Deuba tweeted, “Congratulations to the Nepali national cricket team for entering the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup Global Qualifiers by emerging victorious against Canada. I wish the entire team the best of luck for another semi-final match to be held tomorrow (Tuesday) and making Nepal selected for the World Cup Cricket.”
