President Bhandari invited for inaugural ceremony of 9th National Games-2079 BS
Kathmandu, President Bidya Devi Bhandari has been extended an invitation card on Tuesday for her gracious presence in the inaugural ceremony of the 9th National Games-2079 BS.
The 9th edition of National Games will be held in Gandaki Province from 14-20 October later this year. National Sports Council's President and Minister for Youth and Sports Maheshwor Jung Gahatraj handed over the invitation card to President Bhandari at the Office of the President-Sheetal Niwas- on Tuesday.
The Council briefed the President about the progress made so far regarding the impending National Games.
President Bhandari is scheduled to inaugurate the 9th National Games to be held at Pokhara Stadium.
Meanwhile, National Beema Company and Council have inked an agreement on Tuesday to insure around 9,000 persons (officials, managers and coaches among others) including 6,000 sportspersons participating in the upcoming National Games.
The term of insurance worth Rs 1 million would last through a month.
