Rugby Sevens in the Ninth National Games
Kathmandu, Rugby game has been included for the first time ever in the Ninth National Games, organized by Nepal Sports Council. The National Games for Rugby is taking place from 15th-19th October at Bhandarikharka Ground, Pokhara. Ten teams each for both men and women will be participating in the games and play Rugby Sevens .
The preparation for the games has been taking place at a great pace in all the provinces. Although Nepal Rugby Association has been conducting national-level rugby tournaments each year, the Ninth National Games is being looked forward to with great interest from all the Rugby stakeholders.
Acting President Mr. Deepak Devkota says, "It is a matter of pride for all of us as Rugby is in the National Games. This has given us more confidence in the growth of games in Nepal."
The opening ceremony for the National Games is on Friday, 14th October. All the participating teams along with officials will be joining the event.
