Sabitra Bhandari is praised by Minister Limbu for being chosen to play football in Europe

Kathmandu, Dig Bahadur Limbu, the minister for youth and sports, praised Sabitra Bhandari on receiving a professional football game invitation from a European team.

Bhandari, a player for the women's national football team, has the chance to represent Israel's Hapoel Ra'anana Association Football Club.

At a function held today at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Minister Limbu sent Bhandari his best wishes.

The Minister expressed his wish that Bhandari would be able to improve her footballing abilities and make the most of the chance, raising the bar for Nepali women's football in the process.

The player from Simpani in the Lamjung district has received great commendation from the Ministry for boosting national pride by showcasing her talent while representing the Nepali national team in numerous competitions.

The first female Nepali to sign with a European club is Bhandari. In the first week of August, she will depart for Europe.

Bhandari had previously participated in a league match between Sethu AFC and Gokulum Kerala in India. She is a forward on the team.
