Pandey was elected president of the Kosi State Cricket

Jhapa, Sarva Jit Pandey has been elected president of the Kosi State Cricket Association.

In the second convention held at Kakadvita in Jhapa on Monday night, Pandey, a resident of Biratnagar, was elected by defeating the other candidate for president, Biplav Ghosh of Sunsari Inaruwa, by 6 votes.

While Pandey, who is also a former national player, got 19 votes, Ghosh got only 13 votes. Anup Dhungana of Udaipur has won the vice chair by 18 votes. He defeated Praveen Thapa of Jhapa by 4 votes.

Tikaram Puri of ilam has been elected secretary after defeating Arjun Paudel of ilam. While Puri got 18 votes, Poudel got only 14 votes.

Biru Shrestha from Jhapa has been elected treasurer, defeating Chetanath Poudel CP from Sunsari by 5 votes. While Shrestha got 19 votes, Poudel could only get 13 votes.

Suresh Guragain of Jhapa, Sachit Anand Subba, Narad Nepal, Sumesh Kumar Haluwai of Sunsari, Shivkumar Yadav, Mingma Dandu Sherpa of Taplejung, Naveen Ghimire of Biratnagar, Ambika Budhathoki, and Ramakrishna Acharya of Udaipur have been elected as members of the working committee.

The newly elected president, Pandey, said that he will work to raise cricket in Kosi, the fertile land of cricket.
