Dubai, Former New Zealand fast bowler Shane Bond has been appointed as the head coach of MI Emirates for the UAE T20 League. Bond is currently the bowling coach of Mumbai Indians and in addition to his role, he will also serve as the coach of MI Emirates. In addition, Robin Singh has been made General Manager (Cricket) of MI Emirates.

Shane Bond joined Mumbai Indians in 2015 and since then Mumbai has won four IPL titles. Bond has built a great working style in the team and helped the bowlers realize their potential on the global stage. At the same time, Robin Singh joined the coaching team of Mumbai Indians in 2010 and has been working closely with Shane Bond since then and has been a part of 5 IPL and 2 Champions League campaigns.

Mumbai Indians on Saturday announced the coaching team of MI Emirates. The coaching team comprises the current Mumbai Indians talent scouts, Parthiv Patel and Vinay Kumar who will make their debut as coaches. Parthiv has been appointed as the batting coach, Vinay Kumar as the bowling coach and former MI all-rounder James Franklin as the fielding coach.

Parthiv Patel has represented Mumbai Indians in the past and has been a part of the talent scouting team since 2020, and Vinay Kumar, who is also a former MI player, joined the scouting team in 2021.

Both Parthiv and Vinay were part of Mumbai Indians' winning campaigns in 2015 and 2017. Former MI all-rounder and coach James Franklin has also joined MI Emirates as a fielding coach.

Akash M Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Jio Infocomm, said in an official statement issued by Mumbai Indians, I welcome Shane, Robin, Parthiv, Vinay and James to their new roles at Mi Emirates.
