Speaker Ghimire congratulates Nepali cricketers
Kathmandu, Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire has congratulated a Nepali cricket team for winning the title of ACC Men's Premier Cup.
Expressing happiness over the unprecedented win making Nepal and the Nepali people proud, Speaker Ghimire expressed the belief that this achievement would further help in professionalization of Nepali cricket.
He said, "The unprecedented win has made Nepal and the Nepali people proud. I believe that this achievement will further help in professionalization of cricket. I want to draw the attention of the state that further respect and support to the players is needed."
Winning today's match, Nepal has been qualified to play the Asia Cup taking place in coming September. In the final match held today, Nepal defeated the UAE by 7 wickets.
