Subash Tamang Finishes Tied-10th at Chennai Open 2025

KATHMANDU: Nepalese golfer Subash Tamang concluded a stellar week at the Chennai Open 2025 with a tied-10th finish at the Cosmo-TNGF Golf Course on Friday.

Tamang posted a two-under 70 in the final round, finishing with a 72-hole total of 11-under 277, sharing the spot with Bangladesh’s Jamal Hossain.

The 2019 South Asian Games double gold medalist started strong, carding three birdies on the front nine for a three-under 34, but late bogeys on the 11th and 18th holes resulted in a one-over back nine, despite a birdie on the 16th.

This performance marks Tamang’s fourth top-10 finish on the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) in the 2025 season, highlighting his growing consistency and form on the tour.

Tamang’s impressive week at Chennai further cements his reputation as one of Nepal’s leading professional golfers.
